They called wanting to verify address for a booking that I had already reserved and when we called it back it said it was Expedia group outbound calls only. So I immediately contacted Expedia and they confirmed it is not their phone number so whoever else posted saying it's legit you must be the one scamming .(Automatische Übersetzung. Hotels.com Fraud dept asking me if I had booked a room in the Dominican which I hadn't but was showing up under my personal profile. They didn't ask for any credit card information or passwords or anything only did I book which I did not and they would cncel accordingly. The criminal used some else's credit card but my hotels.com account to book.

Der männliche Anrufer fragte, ob ich englisch sprechen würde. Ich verneinte und wollte mich mit einem deutschsprechenden Kollegen verbinden. Danach wurde das Gespräch beendet. Fazit: Für mich war es eine Betrugsmasche. Sehr dubios.

J ai reçu l appel et même pas 10 min après j ai eu une annulation d une réservation dans un hôtel alors que j ai payé la rédaction 98 euro ,et quand j ai appelé l hôtel ils ont nié qu ils ont annulé ,et m ont dis que je dois appeler service hôtel .com j ai appelé ce service et ils m ont confirmé que ce n est pas de leur faute ,donc à cause de cet appel téléphonique ils m'ont volé mon argent et annuler d eux même la réservation.

FRAUDULENT NUMBER - UNTRUSTWORTHY: This number posed as expedia.com. The person that called twice had a thick Asian accent and left a message about a booking that happened at a hotel that night. Did not give out vital information (name, CC#, etc.) but wanted to confirm the booking to a "Paul E. Goody." Another person with same number called as well. This same person also contacted the hotel as well. Beware of the this number. When I contacted expedia.com and asked if they used this number they said no and had no idea who contacted me. They said (and this is on their website as well) they would not contact me like this especially at 11:00pm at night. As a result contacted bank, flagged the fraud charges and changed CC#'s.

Posed as Hotels.com and asked me for my bank information such as billing address, etc. Hotels.com denies any association with that phone no. It is a fraud, do not respond.
