The visual was three overlapping boxes with ransomware language. An ominous female computer voice threatened harm to my data should I shut down my computer. They literally hijacked my desktop. Said my PC was locked and had been infected with malware. I was directed to call the number in order to fix the problem. Apple brand name was all over this to look legit. Scary stuff. Fortunately I know not to click or call. Researched on my ipad & found the solution: shut down, unplug, restart, update if due. So far that’s been the solution. I heard apple had a data breach or was vulnerable to this, something like that. Our Roku also had to be rebooted so there might be a nefarious connection. Above my paygrade
