Some one called in Oct saying that someone in Calif was trying to make a charge on my Discover Card. They had all my info. Told them I would call Discover myself. Was told not to because they are handling the matter. I called Discover anyway, they said a number of customers had called about this scam.

Said they were from consumer protection for my Discover card. Someone had my SSN in NJ and tried two charges...$2400 and $800. No such charges were listed on my account as pending charges. Had two charges years ago on another card that were bogus, but they did show as pending until I called and straightened it out.
